Marisa Ricci is an internationally recognized dance artist whose multifaceted career spans performance, choreography, and education across Canada and abroad. Based in Toronto, Marisa works as a freelance performer and creative, maintaining a dynamic presence across contemporary, neo-classical, and theatrical genres. Her work has taken her across the globe, including tours throughout Portugal, Switzerland, Spain, China, Thailand, and Italy.

A graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Dance Program, Marisa’s artistic practice is fuelled by curiosity and a passion for creating visceral and immersive experiences. Rooted in technical excellence, her work blends powerful physicality and expression. Her choreographic works, featured in national festivals and international artistic residencies, often integrates abstract, conceptual form which invites viewers into thought-provoking and sensory-rich encounters.

As an educator, Marisa is deeply committed to fostering adaptability, artistic agency, and technical clarity. She brings an integrative, student-centred approach to her teaching, empowering dancers of all ages and levels to explore their potential with anatomical awareness and expressive intention.

Driven by a spirit of continual growth and interdisciplinary exploration, Marisa approaches movement as a dynamic, ever-evolving language — challenging conventions, expanding creative possibility, and contributing to the ongoing evolution of both her own craft and the next generation of dance artists.
